Weddings are your once-in-a-lifetime chance to gather everyone you love in one place. We’ve built a private Mt. Hood wedding venue where you can get married in a gorgeous wooded glade overlooking the Sandy River. But because it’s also a retreat space with four luxurious homes, you can spend time with your guests beyond just your reception.
Imagine waking up on your wedding day and savoring a cup of freshly brewed coffee with your wedding party on a deck, hearing the lull of the Sandy River nearby. Or closing out your wedding weekend with a celebratory campfire, s’mores and all.
Whether you have in mind an intimate dinner for 10 with a private chef or a full-fledged celebration for 150, Sandy River Getaway offers you unparalleled beauty and flexibility.
The Sandy River Getaway features an outdoor ceremony and reception space surrounded by woods overlooking the Sandy River.
When you rent the property, you’ll have private use of this space, as well as access to one or more of our modern, custom-built homes for getting ready (and sleeping in the day after your wedding).
Sandy River Getaway can host as many as 150 guests for an outdoor ceremony & reception. Each of the 4 houses can sleep up to 16 people, so you can have up to 64 overnight guests if you rent out the entire property.
The home being surrounded by pine trees allowed us to keep decorations to a minimum & being able to hear the river was very peaceful!”
Think of Sandy River Getaway as a “blank slate” venue—but one that’s steeped in nature’s beauty. Our spacious lawn allows you to bring in tables, chairs, tents, and anything else you need for your dream wedding. For catering, you can choose to hire a caterer, or you can keep it simple and do you own thing. It's really the perfect set-up for any size of wedding party and guest list.
Our Mt. Hood wedding venue is located approximately 40 minutes east of Portland, in Brightwood, a small, intimate mountain community. We’re surrounded by the Mount Hood National Forest, which has over a thousand miles of trails as well as countless other recreation opportunities. Whether you’re into biking, rock climbing, snowshoeing, or just a scenic train ride through the forest, you’ll find it here.
